| Description: |
We're looking for a capable and objective writer to join the team of an established technology evaluation and intelligence business to conduct and write up tests of computer peripheral hardware, and the software they employ. Your role would involve liaison with vendors to set up tests of new document imaging packages, assessing their capabilities and features and writing up reports. You would also be called upon to do similar tests of hardware products as and when necessary. In addition to your own testing of products, you will interview both vendors and users, and from time to time attend appropriate UK and international trade shows to gather information about new product development and to develop new contacts. If you are already registered with The Media Network, please email a covering letter outlining your suitability for the job directly to across@tmn.co.uk with Ref 2766 in the subject line. "Dear Allan
I was a little apprehensive about using an agency to find someone to replace me as Editor of Dorset Life, a critical appointment in a small but successful company. However, I have been more than happy with the outcome: a final shortlist of two excellent candidates, either of whom we felt we could have appointed with confidence.
I must thank you for your efficient and courteous handling of this search. It has been a pleasure to deal with you because of what came across as your genuine interest in what we were trying to achieve and your concern to find the right person to help us achieve it. Our dealings on the business side of our relationship have been nothing but cordial.
It have been an exhaustive (not to say exhausting!) process, but, largely thanks to you, an enjoyable one with a successful outcome."
