Your opportunity to edit the magazine of one of Britain's leading supermarket brands offering a vibrant and arresting mix of food, real-life and celebrity stories, recipes and wine articles. This bi-monthly magazine, with an ABC circulation of over 1million, is chiefly written for foodies - whether surprising their families with new dishes, impressing their friends, or simply indulging their love of cooking. Managing a small in-house team as well as drawing on a bank of specialist freelances, the role will involve all aspects of running a successful customer magazine: planning content, liaising with the client, assigning and commissioning articles and other content, writing, editing and passing for press as well as contributing ideas for online and digital editions. It goes without saying that the successful candidate will need a strong editorial background in food content within magazine publishing. You could be a food editor moving up the editorial ladder or a senior editor with first-hand experience of overseeing food content. What's certain is that you'll be able to demonstrate an almost innate feel for this genre of magazine publishing. You'll be joining a thriving and growing customer publishing company in central London and working alongside some of the best talent in the business.
