Short Description: Lead the team covering one of the most fascinating, visible and tangible areas of finance.
Location: London
Salary: £generous plus bonus and benefits
Job Role: Editor

It could be a dam project in China, a gas pipeline in Eqypt, football stadia in France, or hospitals in India.  If it involves private finance, the team will be reporting it, dissecting it and tracking its progress for the bankers, lawyers, sponsors, clients and consultants who subscribe for the daily news product and online data and analysis.

As Editor, you will lead and develop a six-strong team of experienced journalists while collaborating closely with the four-strong research and analysis team to build further its reputation as the leading source of authoritative, timely and essential market intelligence. It is also expected that you will contribute news, commentary, and analysis.

A key ambassador, you will be expected to establish a significant profile in the sector and further grow that of the brand in both the finance industry and the wider media. Certainly you will  chair and moderate conferences and round tables and provide editorial input into other events organised under the brand such as the annual awards and dinner. In the process, you will be developing deep understanding of the sector and the information needs of subscribers - working closely with the publisher to identify and implement ideas that add value and better serve users and sponsors.

The successful candidate will be joining a major business information publisher with a portfolio of sector-leading print and digital products.

"Dear Allan
I was a little apprehensive about using an agency to find someone to replace me as Editor of Dorset Life, a critical appointment in a small but successful company. However, I have been more than happy with the outcome: a final shortlist of two excellent candidates, either of whom we felt we could have appointed with confidence.
I must thank you for your efficient and courteous handling of this search. It has been a pleasure to deal with you because of what came across as your genuine interest in what we were trying to achieve and your concern to find the right person to help us achieve it.  Our dealings on the business side of our relationship have been nothing but cordial.
It have been an exhaustive (not to say exhausting!) process, but, largely thanks to you, an enjoyable one with a successful outcome."
