Your role will be to report daily news as well as put together ‘how-tos' and consumer guides highlighting key benefits, applications and shortcomings of the deals. The focus is on producing authoritative and qualified advice in clear and unambiguous language working strictly to deadline. This is not an entry-level job - the successful candidate will need a minimum of two years' experience as a journalist in one or more of the following; mobile phone/broadband/telecoms/tech journalism on either a trade magazine/website or consumer website. You'll also need experience in online media including user generated content/podcasting/video. This is not a desk-bound job. You'll be required to attend press events and develop key contacts with senior industry figures and you'll therefore need to be a confident networker. Our client is an Ofcom accredited comparison website which features prominently in Google rankings. It is also expanding and has recently moved to new central London offices to accommodate its current 20-strong team. Interested candidates should accompany their cv with a review of their own mobile phone in no more than 150 words, highlighting the key points of interest to the average consumer. |
