Senior Reporter - London B2B News Magazine & Website (Ref: 2673)
Short Description:	We are looking for a tenacious news journalist with a nose for good stories and the speed to turn them into copy on tight deadlines.

Job Role:	News Reporter
Description:	Working as part of a five-strong news desk you will be writing daily news for the website and longer news and analysis pieces for the weekly magazine. The successful candidate will need to show a portfolio of hard-hitting exclusives and be capable of thinking laterally - identifying potential stories from the national economic/social/political agenda and following those up through research and interviews with senior people in government, local authorities, NGOs, and other senior figures in the sector. On offer is a chance to develop a solid platform of experience covering stories of national political interest within a prominent and respected publishing group. Responsibilities Source exclusive, off-diary news stories Write well-structured news and analysis pieces to tight deadline Build expert knowledge through rigorous research Meet, interview and develop ongoing relationships with high level contacts Attend and report from industry events and conferences Requirements Minimum two years' news journalism experience Ability to grasp complex, regulatory, legal, policy and business issues Ability to identify story opportunities and the organisational skills to turn them into high quality, cogent news and features to deadline Evidence of experience in writing for the web and related social media would be advantageous but not essential If you are already registered with The Media Network, please email your application letter directly to across@tmn.co.uk with Ref 2673 in the subject line.
