If you need to recruit a journalist or editorial specialist in magazine publishing, new media or corporate communications, you've come to the right place. That's what we do. In this way, we have been able to concentrate on developing the most qualified service for employers seeking intelligent and qualified help in sourcing the very best editorial talent.
The consultant handling your assignment will have previous experience in either journalism or publishing management and will be well placed to properly understand the nature of the role and to judge the appropriateness of candidates for it. However, as the employer, you will know better than anyone what you're looking for in a new employee and so from the outset, we spend time with you to understand the scope of the post, where it fits in your team and what skills, knowledge, experience and attributes you consider necessary for someone starting out in the job.
The more we know about the job and your company, the greater chance we'll have of helping you fill your vacancy. That's why we would ideally want to be briefed at the offices where the individual will be working in order to get a feel for the company culture and office environment.
If this isn't possible, then we are happy to take a brief over the phone. This will involve guiding you through a series of questions designed to inform us of the benchmarks we should use when interviewing, but also to provide us with enough information to faithfully represent the attraction of the job to candidates and the career opportunity it offers. Ultimately, to do the best job for you, we need to apply the same standards as you in our shortlisting process to ensure that you are presented with a choice of candidates who are equally employable.
