Rebekah Wade swaps Sun Editorship for Chief Exec Job
News International has announced the appointment of Rebekah Wade as its new Chief Executive. Wade (41), who became The Sun's first female editor in January 2003, joined News International twenty years ago as a secretary on the News of The World, becoming its editor ten years later. Her new job will put her in operational charge of The Sun, News of the World, the Times, the Sunday Times and the London Paper, a daily London freesheet.
