Media Week Publishes Last Magazine
Media Week will become a digital-only publication from tomorrow. In an announcement made earlier today, publisher Haymarket Business Media said it had been hit by a "severe advertising downturn and unprecedented structural change". The closure of the magazine is part of a wider restructuring of the company's Brand Media Group aimed at consolidating their marketing communications brands into a stronger and more integrated portfolio under the Brand Republic banner. At the same time, Revolution, the digital marketing magazine, will become a quarterly supplement to be distributed with stablemate Marketing magazine and be backed by a new blogging initiative in 2010.
