BBC Magazines Announces New Top Gear Editor
Conor McNicholas is leaving his job as editor of NME after seven years to edit Top Gear. He will take up the post in the next couple of months. McNicholas, a former editor of the now defunct Muzik and Deputy Editor of Mixmag has a background in music journalism going back almost twelve years when he started out on Ministry, a dance music magazine published by the Ministry of Sound. He is quoted as saying music and cars are his twin passions. in 2005 McNicholas scooped two industry awards - PPA Editor of the Year (Consumer) and BSME Entertainment Magazine Editor of the Year.
